About the event

Join Babes and Botanicals for an evening of Life drawing & Lino printing.

Over the course of 2 hours you will draw, design and create your own Babes and Botanicals Lino print.

To start you will take part in a 40 minute botanical life drawing class with Queer model Lou (She/Her). Lou is an advisor for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder during the day. She is also a musician and has recently retrained as a sound healer.

We will then have a short break before being guided in turning your life drawings into a beautiful Lino print for you to take home.

All art abilities welcome, suitable for beginners and more experienced artists looking to try something new.

The price of ticket includes all materials however you are also welcome to bring your own.

Please note the event space is alcohol free. You are welcome to purchase and enjoy alcoholic beverages in the ground floor bar prior and after the event. During the event only soft and hot drinks are allowed.

Event attendees receive 20% off drinks in the bar.

The event space is in the basement, when you arrive please go through the bar and down the stairs.

What is Life drawing?

A live drawing class featuring a nude model presenting varying and multiple poses.

What is Lino printing?

A type of relief printing. An image/design is carved into a block of Lino, ink is then rolled onto the Lino block and pressed onto paper to leave a print.

What if I've never done life drawing & Lino printing?

People who have no experience have attended workshops and throughly enjoyed the experience. The workshop is mainly about enjoying a creative experience, not making perfect results. You will also be guided throughout the evening and given help where needed.

What is Glass House?

What if I don't identify as LGBTQIA+, can I still attend the workshop?

The workshop is primarily a space for Queer people however respectful allies are welcome.

Is it accessible?
